In the heart of the old town of Nafplion the Gelateria di Piazza can be found surrounded by narrow Venetian streets and is a perfect place to take a break and cool down during the hot summer months. Ice cream at its best, authentic, traditional Italian home-made gelato bursting with flavors, tantalize the eye and make the senses tingle. The building, like many in the old town, is protected by the archaeological society of Nafplion and particularly so as one of the features of the interior is an original wall from King Otto’s palace otherwise known as the governor’s mansion.
